« on: May 07, 2008, 08:33:32 PM »

I have 5,000 miles on my FLHRSE4 AND ITS TIME TO GET RID OF THOSE FACTORY PIPES.

LOOKING AT THE BUB 7 SERIES WITH POWER COMANDER 3 .
LOOKING FOR DEEP SOUND AND PERFORMANCE( I NOW CAN HEAR MY HEART BEAT).

I PUT VANCE AND HINES BIG SHOTS LONG ON MY SOFT TAIL.

ANY IDEAS??????

Yeah, I'll send you my Supertrapp SE's they will emit a heartbeat all of its own. Actually I love the strong and deep sound they produce especially at idle and when when it's twisted. Performance is great even  as slip-ons,  as good as a two into one setup. Where I am not liking them as much is when running on the highway at speed they develop a kind of heavy pulsing that is felt through the entire bike. This doesn't seem to be the case with this pipe on the 96's.  Recently talked to Jaimie at Fuelmoto , who tells me they gave an alternative baffle that will prevent this. Have noticed most of my buddies have gone to these as they love the sound of mine, but as I have already said they are runnimg the mostly the 96 and  88 inchers. :)

jas721,

First and foremost, Go with what you like! You are the one who has to deal with them.

I personally have Samson True Duels with Samson Caliber slip ons. I bough mine because I like the idea of two sets of baffles (performance and touring) yet I have ever to hear the touring baffles. They are a little louder than most but I am OK with that.

Just get something you will be happy with a few years from now!
