It's not so much the width, the Corbin is more contoured around the fender than the stocker. After I put the grab rails on the seat wouldn't go down all the way to engage the screw.

Bungy --  Sounds like you need a longer screw!    :D :D :D

Say hi to Heidi for me!

Ultra,
The better half really likes the covers.  Says it adds more grip area, and I guess that equates to more confidence. :nixweiss: One thing I've learned after 33 years of marriage is if Momma's happy, then I'm happy.  She likes the stock seat, says it's very comfortable and definitely likes the heat.  Says that's theraputic, whatever that means.
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Hey, I have to agree with Charlie.  When momma's happy we're all happy.  Thanks to Charlie and his super-fine taste (aka - OCD), he's convinced my bride she needed the passenger grips (with rubber overcovers), the nifty saddle bag lights and other stuff too numerous to mention here.  She really missed the "Oh Chit" grips from the '03, so when I found from Charlie they really did fit - I  had to have them, I mean she had to have them - no problems with fit whatsoever.  Oh, yeah, that strap makes a great wall hanging ;).

You can buy them out of the HD catalog.  The part # is 91583-99 $128.40.  They stopped putting them on because so many people were complaining about them and replaced it with the strap. :nixweiss:

What were they complaining about?

I had a set of grab bars hanging on the wall, originally from a 2001 Ultra Classic.  I installed them on my 07 SEUC and they fit fine.  There is about a 1/2" clearance between the grab bars and the rear passenger speakers...  I think the more recent grab bars may be configured differenly then the older design.

Scott

Just installed the HD grab rails on my 2008 SE Ultra.  No problems.

You know this OCD stuff is contages and it starting to effect me.

I placed an order with Charlies last week, they called today saying parts are in and will ship.

Then I discovered this thread about the Psg. Grab Rails work on the 08 SEUC.

So without any medication to stop me, I called back and added these items to the order (save on S&H).

I think OCD is more aggressive during the PMS stage, has any one contacted the CDC (Center for Disease Control) in Atlanta to see if it's treatable.

Probaly the way to control OCD is to stay off of this forum, but I'm hooked.  :jack:

I tried putting the stock ones from my 05 onto my 08, but the left side would not fit, it hit the speaker box, so I told my passenger..........suck it up, you are held on with a bungee strap as it is...........I laughed, but "Grumpy" didn't but oh well, such is life.

Harley's stock grab rails WILL fit CUSE, I have them on my 07, my son has them on his 06, both have had the optional covers added to them.
Bought mine off of eBay, new take from 04, $50.00, beats paying retail, ride safe and God Bless

Just another voice, I have the stock grab rails on my 07 CVO Ultra Classic.  No problem with fit.  Wonder why the MoCo says not to use them - I can't believe them passing up money.

Ride Safe.

I also just installed them (with covers) on my 06...no fitment issues at all.
However the wife doesn't think they are functional so apparantly I wasted my money....except they are chrome! :2vrolijk_21:

Of course, they are great locations for attaching bungy cords for luggage in the BSR's seat when she doesn't come along for an overnight trip, so the grab rail might be more functional then she thinks!   :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

I put them on my Jester because my wife liked them on the 02 Ultra.  They fit fine and I put the chrome covers on them, which makes them looke even better, plus Momma's happy again...and that's all that matter.  When momma's happy, I'm happy.  :) ::)
