BC Gerolomy Air Filter Kit
« on: April 09, 2008, 07:52:49 PM »

In the course of doing the build on Bubba_T's motor, the wrench who built the motor suggested Bubba go with a BC Gerolomy Air Filter Kit. The kit comes with everything you need to make it work with a Screamin Eagle Breather. Since my Doherty Power PACC snapped yet another set of stand offs running the set-up with a heavy stock air cleaner cover I was looking for something better. The BC setup is like an air filter on all sides. You don't put any cover over it as the front of the filter is a filter and cover. There is an adapter plate with the kit that allows the front (cover) to screw to a center hole. S'anyway, Gerolomy didn't offer a hardware kit for the Doherty, but said they'd make one if I took my whole complete Doherty off and sent it to them. Since I had a spare Screamin Eagle backing plate laying around, I hooked up the BC kit that way and shipped my Doherty off to them. I have to say I like the BC air cleaner kit even with just the Screamin Eagle backing plate. I can feel a noticable difference in the way the bike runs and the powerband is very smooth. Can't wait to get the everything back from BC so I can have their air cleaner with the Doherty backing plate and internal velocity stack.
Bottom line here folks is if you're running a Screamin Eagle Breather kit you want to buy one of these BC Gerolamy air cleaner set ups and if you love your Doherty like I do, hang on, they'll have a kit available soon. The kit that fits the SE breather is $134. When you see what you get for the money you'll understand why

where can you buy one of these Air filters?  I can't seem to find them in google anywhere.   :nixweiss:  Also, do you know anything about the boyensen x-wing?  Does it do the same as the power pacc?

Just a typo up above.  Stupid Google doesn't like typos though.  Search by BC Gerolamy.

:mango:Thanks, I hope that I can modify it to fit under my CVO A/C cover.  The one they have on their website is kind of ugly!

Had a girlfriend like that once, uglier than the south end of a north bound mule, but boy could she - - - - --

OKEY DOKEY, moving right along. The Gerolomy filter really, and I mean really works. Can't wait to see what it does with my Doherty Power PACC when they make me the hardware for it.

Thanks for the good info!  I bought a D & D fatcat from Steve's and I bought a BC Geralomy with a SE back plate.  THey both really opened up the bike sound and all!  I was able to retain my stock SE110 A/C cover.  Looks original and it's not ugly.  Mark was really helpful at BCHEADS!  THX again!
