Fullsac recore service
« on: May 06, 2008, 02:24:47 PM »

Has anyone sent their 08 stock 110 muffs (Cats) to Fullsac?  I am thinking about sending mine or a set of 08 stock 96 muffs (just in case the muffler police force me to put the Cats back on).  Not looking for "loud" but something in between stock 110s and the old SEs.  I just can't find anything I like pertaining to sound level.
Thanks,
Brian

Sounds interesting and I've been keeping it an option for some time now.  it's nice to have the "stealth" effect with a stock looking exhaust.

I have run these recor mufflers with their 21" baffle on my '06 RG since 9/05 and been very pleased with them.  The motor on my bike was a 103" crate motor (same motor as was in the '06 screamin eagle bikes) that I had installed prior to taking delivery.  I do run the race tuner and a stage 1 intake.  No direct experience with how they work on the 110 but really like the them on my bike.

I would call them the owner has done quite a bit of dyno tuning with their mufflers and they can tell you which baffle you would need.

TCinVA has done the Fulsac recores on his 07 SEUC factory cans and he's very happy with them. If you want to drop him a PM or email, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.  I have my factory cans laying in the basement and am thinking of sending them off to Fulsac for a "back up" set of slippons.

Charlie's right.  I had the Fulsac mod done this past winter.  I wasn't entirely pleased with the S&S SPOs, and really like the looks of the stock cans, but not the sound.  I'm VERY pleased with the Fulsacs.  Steve's a great guy to work with.  He offers two diameter cores - 1 3/4" and 2".  Tell him what you're looking for and he'll give you a straight answer.  I went with the 1 3/4" because he told me they'd be a bit quieter than the larger cores on the road.  They provide a great rumble at idle and are "smooth" at highways speeds.  When you crack the throttle however, there's NO doubt the mufflers have been "worked".  Buddy of mine who rides an 08 CUSE4, thinks my Fulsacs sound very much like his RHs.  I don't know about that - he's always BEHIND me!!  ;).  I like the Fulsac work, the stock 4" cans, and the sound.  Price ain't too shabby either.
