Removing the lowers helps to a point from my experience but for the heat on the wife's right lower leg true duals was the only answer.

True duals combined with the heat shields is the only answer to eliminate a lot of that right side heat.  I have both on my Jester and it really knocked the heat down drastically.  I've got the HD mid-frame shields on mine along with the V&H true duals.

YES ! my wife is happy & ok to ride again on my bike THANKS ALL :2vrolijk_21:

V&H true duals with monster oval mufflers combined with the HD mid-fram shields eliminate most of the right side heat.

Look of the exhaust is really nice & sound terrific (not so loud) but the look of the HD mid-fram shields is not really interresting...

you're right Magic.  They're not the best looking but they do work.  According to the '08 Parts Catalog, they new mid frame shields are a deep smoke tint now instead of all black.  they might look a little better.    :nixweiss:
