Less the threads. Despite having gone in with anti-seize, the threads had just welded themselves to the threads of the bung.

In the past I have use "Neo-Lube" on high temp steam systems to prevent binding, it is made of graphite suspended in isopropanol alcohol.

"Neo-Lube"

Dammit.  Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit.  Just self deleted a very sick but amusing reference to "The Matrix" and particular usage variables to its lead actor.  Dammit.

I just had an email from Steve Mullen at Nightrider regarding LC-1 kits (Wide Band O2 sensors) with SERt and here is his comment:

With SERT, you have the tool you need to do your tuning. While the LC-1's
can add a level of sophistication to the tuning, with just a Stage 1 type
engine, the LC-1's tend to be overkill.

The LC-1's can be programmed to any closed loop AFR that you want. I choose
13.5:1 because it is a good compromise between cooling the bike, gas mileage
and power.

That's why I'm interested in something that auto-maintains a decent AFR, but still allows the HD ECM to do its stuff.  I thought the TMAT was the answer to my prayers, but because it fails to use the ION sensor, timing is an issue.  Wideband I can live without if I can get to a decent AFR, which is automatically maintained, but allows the stock ECM (assisted by the SERT) to do its thang.  No decent tuners anywhere near here, so I have to live with the canned map, hence the desire for auto-adjustment of the AFR.  So, I have high hopes for the Headquarters Pro Tuner, but they are still waiting for them to come into stock....  :(
