dealer can't seem to find the right number, ordered the one in the parts catalog, which turned out to be the 2005 model (with snake), I'm looking for the number of the 2004 (with perforated insert) thanks

I have a 2004 perforated backrest (that I bought on eBay) that I would trade for a 2005 snake.  It is in great condition.

Somehow Gary has not yet seen this mis-placed thread.

Perhaps it's a sign that it's been discontinued, but I don't see the '04 passenger backrest pad assembly in either the latest P&A catalog (hard copy) or online.  In case the other deal with 4stars falls through, I know the 2000 SERG passenger backrest can no longer be ordered complete (with all the pieces put together), but can be ordered piece-by-piece.  In case you need to go that route, the individual part numbers that make up the 2004 SEEG assembly are:

13) 52603-04 Bracket Assembly, backrest
12) 52303-04 Pad, backrest
17) 53294-04 Mount assembly, passenger backrest (includes item #14, insert)
16) 53202-04 Screw
 6) 6532 Washer

Since I sold my '08 CUSE Monday I'll be taking my '05 SEEG to Florida next week and I hate riding without a backrest.  So, I'll pm you when I return and we'll get together on the backrest.

It is a discontinued part. I needed one for my B/O and was told I was lucky to get it. I was told then it was being  discontinued but there were a few in the system. That was a year ago!
