I've already told the story.  It's on this Great Site.

It's been a little over four years since Stephanie faced her first major challenge.  After a traumatic accident, and an unexpected diagnosis followed by several trips to places like UAB, Duke University, and Vanderbilt University Children's Hospitals, Stephanie (HarleyBoxer on this site) has reached one of the goals she set for herself on the morning of 22FEB2004 shortly before she went into surgery for the closed reduction of her left hip, which she had broken the night before:  "I WILL WALK WHEN I GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL.

Tonight............she walked!  And I can't fight the tears as I type, so I'll post pictures.

Renea and I are so proud of our courageous little Girl!

She has been accepted to the University of Alabama at Huntsville and has declared her major as...........Systems Engineering!

Way to go, Sweetie!  We Love You!!!!!!

Steph,

I missed this thread until now. Way to go!!! Congratulation on everything you've accomplished and for everything you will accomplish in the years ahead at UAH.

Enjoy it...you have definitely earned it.

I saw pics of Steph in the other thread where you had visitors.  She looked happy as a lark!  The summer following graduation is like nirvana!  You should be very proud.  Our children remind us what life is all about.
