Yeah, pretty cool. :2vrolijk_21:  Wonder what it would look like with the more classic-looking H-D side hack, though. :nixweiss:

I'd originally thought very strongly about putting a hack on the red SERG.  Make it the more local cruiser and the bike for Parker to ride along with on.  But it's too nice of a touring and crusing ride.  The kid can still ride BSR and the SERG can see the road.  Maybe some day will find a beater bike for a side hack if that ever gets to be really important.

Don

You ever ridden a sidehack any length of time? (not in the sidecar but riding the bike)
They are a pain in the butt.
A bear to ride any distance.

Not at all Chip.  Not a single mile.  Absolutely no idea other then what watching them would suggest about how they'd handle.

Parker gets too comfortable on the back and goes to sleep.  That's where the idea of some beater sidecar bike that would be just for local or close-regional riding with her came from.

The owner of Harley of Charlotte has an anniversary silver and black 03 Road King with a S/B sidecar on it. Me, Nancy, him and his wife are riding the three bikes to the 105th. Ken say's the side car rides best under 70 mph and is really tough to handle in the curves. When you accelerate the rig tries to go right and when you slow down it tries to go left. It's a very pretty piece but tough to drive!

If that's what to expect then some beater for local kid cruising would be the orders for the day.
A painted to match eagle clad red SERG sidecar would like amazing.  But the bike rides out too damned well to ever willingly turn it in a machine that has to be manhandled and fought so much of the time.

A used $3,500.00 URAL with sidecar would be fun.

Just wish I had room for one!

Remember, it's all in the perception cheap.  All in how you rationalize it.  This wouldn't be a bike that was tough to store.  It would be a bike you didn't have to buy a center stand for ??? !

I wonder if any of the Fly N Ride dealers offer up a sidehack for rent?  I'd like to put some miles on one just to see how it would be.  But, don't think I want to make the leap into one w/o some saddle-time.  :-\ har!  spyder
