Factory tour
« on: July 08, 2008, 12:25:13 PM »

Last week a group of us from RI rode Thur upstate NY & PA. One of our stops was at York. The plant was closed to tours to retool for 2009 model . One of the gift shop employees said when the reopened on July 7 they will be pumping 09 's . I guess my question is .if the 09 is now being viewed by tour why haven't they released the info? ;) ;)

cause that's what the dealer show is all about. I suspect many of us will be getting cell phone snap shots that day of the show..

I'll be willing to bet that the CVO plant will not be giving tours until after the dealers meeting. ;D

They will not admit tours to that part of the plant until after the '09s are released at the dealer show.  I was up there a couple years ago during the time they were producing the new models but before the official release date.  Could view various parts of the plant but not the assembly area.  Moco holds its cards real close to the vest.

The only thing they (the plant ) has to hide is the paint (colors) for the 09's That's the only real change that they make. Same production line same bikes only minor changes (doodads) and paint.

I had a tour of York in late May, and you could NOT tour the CVO line. They
open it once a year to CVO owners only, I heard?
