new boom mic and speaker needed
« on: June 11, 2008, 11:26:56 PM »

I am looking for either something that is not made or something I could make and looking for help

The problem is the intercom on my bike is not really suitable riding without a helmet

So i want a "boom mic" that attaches to my head somehow and stays on by itself and

has a small inconspicuous speaker/earphone (no do not start preaching what is illegal)

That way I can use the cb/intercom/phone in one small package

I cannot be the first to ask

This one looks cool but don't know how it works.
the only problem I see with a helmetless head set is the cord will pull on you after a while causing fatigue on you ears ect.

Just my .02¢

Does HD still make that hand held mic like the old police bikes?

I thought these had a problem with 2006 and up HDs?  They were at the NY show a couple of years ago and I asked the engineer and it sounded like they were unwilling to continue to look into a fix.
