I don't know to laugh or be embarrassed with NJ definition of a MOTORCYCLE .

"According to New Jersey law, a motorcycle can be a motor a bicycle with a motor attached or any motor-operated vehicle the bicycle or tricycle type, except for a motorized bicycle."


Huh?  Read that three times before I realized my head was still bobbling back and forth.

it ain't broke.

we don't need to fix it.

plus no pump jockey wants to try to pump gas into a bike & that's the only time when I feel compelled to do so.  So it all works out.


I forgot the NJ manual.  Pure idiocy.  Funny though.

Hadn't thought about that.  I've bought gas in NJ on a bike a few times.  No one ever tried to pump it for me.  Is that just because they know better then to try?  Or does the no-self-service statute exclude motorcycles?

They know better.
Also if you have to do any business with DMV like getting a motorcycle permit or renewing your driver license, you need what they call 6 point ID and one must be a utility bill that shows your address even though your current driver license has the address on it.  And old driver license will count as only one point although we had to provide 6 point ID the last time renew it.  Another word, they don't even value the driver license they issue themselves.

When I was there the attendent had to start the pump but then handed it off to me to actually fill the tank while he stook there and 'supervised.'
