my setup here, i can weld anything but a broken heart and the crack of dawn. :carrot:

researching small plasmas?? any suggestions. right now esab is in front.

What do you work on mostly? Thin sheet , tubing. I see your set up for Tig. What kind of material are you considering the plasma welder for? :nixweiss:

You would have to be a little more specific as to what you wanted to do with it, (ie. heavy or light use, thickness of material to be cut).  As for brands,  Thermal Dynamics & Hypertherm both make great machines.

i had a antique lincoln that needed nitrogen for cutting air. it was much more than i needed. my thickness is usually under 3/8. as i prefer to work with stainless and aluminum. welding hasn't evolved very much except for plasma and wire feed (which i could train a monkey to do) anyhow i would like to keep it lite and use my garage compressor for cutting air.




i have inhaled too much argon and burnt plenty rods in my day.
there is my excuse. :coolblue:
