Motorcyclist killed in Cary, NC
« on: July 11, 2008, 09:27:42 PM »

Drove past this - looked bad at the time.  2 bikes down on highway - both black sport bikes.  The r-front of cager's Nissan was crumpled down to tire.  Biker in roadway with medics attending to him.

CARY, N.C. — A motorcyclist died after an accident with a car in Cary, police said.

Around 7:15 p.m., a car traveling northbound on US-1 and a motorcycle from Cary Parkway making entry to US-1 collided, Cary Police Capt. Michael Williams said.

No one in the car was injured. The motorcyclist was transported to WakeMed and later pronounced dead.

The accident is under investigation. Police would not release the names or ages of the involved parties.

One lane on US-1 remained open, but the other lanes were expected to be closed for several more hours.

Prayers are with families....

The accident restricted traffic to one northbound lane for several hours. The wreck killed Amy Grisham 42 of Cary.

She was involved in an accident with Theogene Manzi, of Durham. He was riding a separate motorcycle.  She then was hit by a car

I often go to this topic before I go riding on weekends. It really keeps me grounded and aware of what can happen
