True Duals
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:17:13 PM »

Anyone have a suggestion on a set up for the 07 SERK. Has the race tuner and rush slip ons now. Need nice loud sound and good power. Anyone heard or have the V&H new big ovals? I missed them at Myrtle Beach. Guess I will need header pipe as well. :bananarock:

Reinhart's... all the way!

I'm hearing better flow dynamics on the dyno with improved mid range power.
and they sound NUCLEAR!

My brother in law had RH true duels on his 07 Ultra & didn't like all of the heat coming out of the left side. RH's stick out at least one inch  more the the V&H's. He sold his & went to a V&H header system with Kerker/Supertrapp mufflers with the Mikuni core. It sounds great when you twist the wick & he picked up 2 more horse & 3lbs of torque & it came on earlier in the powerband. THE MUFFMAN

Biglew,
have a look at my bike with the true duals. They are a little loud but that just makes me a little more proud...sorry couldn't help it.  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=23779.0

Freedom Cycles has their own version of the BUB, whom also builds Reinhart. Freedoms right side pipe has a different bend keeping it farther from the chain case to keep it cooler. A little loud but a great sound.

Reference the Cat removal and the 1.6 core drill.

I just purchased a pair of stock 07 SERK 4in stock mufflers to experiment with. Where do I look for a core drill? Is this something I can do at home with a hand drill or do I need a drill press?

Any help would be appreciated. I sent the stock mufflers to Fulsac to be modified and they worked great. They were just a little louder then I like when on long trips.

RH's with performance baffles here.

They sound awsome when you crack the whip!
