SERT tuning overwrite
« on: July 24, 2008, 10:35:50 AM »

would a new tuning, for example the torque smoothing calibration, overwrite the custom sert tune put in by my tuner?  should I avoid any factory recalibrations to avoid affecting my sert custom tune?

Any reprogramming of your ECM will overwrite the current tune that's in it. So if you have a tune your happy with do not let the ECM get reprogrammed.

If you have a copy of the custom map file that was created for your bike, you can always load it back in at a later time.  The problem comes in if you don't have a copy to revert back to.
