SERG-Oops...
« on: September 02, 2008, 02:02:04 PM »

My Silver/Titanium SERG arrived at the dealership last Friday and I hoped to have it by now but the paperwork was MIA and so were the techs over the weekend who were needed to install the race tuner and Rinehart slip on mufflers as well as removing any and all reflectors.  The exhaust set up will probably be only a temporary solution until an aftermarket tru dual becomes available, but I just couldn't drive it with the way it sounded stock.

I'm going to pick up the bike tomorrow so I'll post some pictures after I get in a nice ride.

Here's the funny part.  After they prepped the bike, the dealership called me.  There was a slight problem.  One of the side plates (which comes packed in the saddle bags when the bike is shipped) was the wrong color.  It was the side plate for a CVO Silver/Blue Ultra.  Seriously.  It's on my bike now until they can get the correct one shipped from Harley.  I'll post a picture of that as well.

Good deal  would be cool to see what the rineharts sound like and how they look on there.  Do they have a map for you on the tuner already?

They're going to install a base map for the 110 CVO engine with my exhaust set up and then I'll have it customized when I bring it back for the 1,000 mile service.

That sux about the side panel!  I would like to see the pics with the rineharts, they are 3 1/4 or 3 1/2 inches in diameter and the stock is 4".  Definitely post some pics of that for me.

I forgot to take a picture before they replaced it. (I tried not to look at it actually) Harley shipped the correct cover in under two weeeks.  That's a record for them.

The side plate must be wrapped or in a box?  I can't imagine them putting the wrong color like that.

F.Y.I

Our CVO 110's now have the cat in the collector of the headpipe. All that to say, with muffler change it will help very little, Will make more noise but the exhaust will still flow through the cat first ???

Wenchal;
  Yea, the side covers are wrapped and in the saddlebags.  Whe I saw this post originally, thats the first thing I checked when mine arrived!

Mr. D.
  Whats the cat got to do with it.  It adds some restriction but those original baffles downright choked the exhaust.  Catbacks work well on cages so why not new slipon's for these?  I agree if you get rid of it altogether but....to get the true power you would actually have to do an engine rebuild with pistons, heads, crank and cams!
