Yes and us Brits get to pay $47,453.00 ! Question is can I buy the missing bits through some kind soul who has the same bike as the 09 I have on order through this website ? (Colour Tbc) I think the tourpack looks poor with the light missing and just black antenna mounts and the mirrors are the same as the standard Ultra.Plus do the lights on the tourpack work? Thanks James

Of course you can buy all the parts for the Tourpack, and they will work. It is a bit of a hassle to install. If you are no expert, I'd leave it for the dealer to install. Which may result in you having to buy them there. You're looking at around 850,- Euro for parts, and they are VIN restricted. The mirrors, however, are easy to order and install for yourself.

Separately it seems that the exhaust pipes are also different. It is hard to see, but they look just like the regular E-Glide pipes.

Ride safely,

Thanks Louis

I thought that as the Hdi bikes come without the US bits I would not be able to order the bits through my UK harley dealer?? If they are Vin protected would it not come up as a Uk bike which never had the parts fitted as new? I would use my local dealer to fit all the bits which I would order in advance of the arrival of my bike (late 08/early 09??) I did notice the mufflers and would also try and order those. My 07 has true duals with ovals which can be a bit tiring especially on the motorway. The mirrors for the 09 look new and are vin protected?

Cheers James

Okay, let me straighten this all out:

The Tourpack accessories can be ordered through your dealer. Obviously they are more expensive over here than in the U.S. The accessories in the special colours for the CVO bikes (with the Screamin' Eagle badge) can be ordered as well, however they are typically VIN protected. Your dealer should have no problem in ordering and installing them.

The mufflers can be ordered. They should not be VIN protected. However there may be regulations prohibiting the use of these. In any case, if you change the mufflers, I'd suggest to go the whole way and order the Screamin' Eagle air filter as well, and install a Power Commander or SERT (ask your dealer for a recommendation on the device they have solid experience with) and get all tuned perfectly. That may be not legal in your country, however.

The mirrors are no issue at all.

Hope this clears everything up.

Ride safely,
Louis
