Continental Divied Ride
« on: June 26, 2008, 04:15:53 PM »

A buddy from work is leaving in about three weeks to do the Divide ride on his 650 dual sport bike. The trail is below, and also a link about it. Not for everyone, but I think this would be kick ass! He's going to send me pictures when he gets back, I'll share

It appears that this will not be 100% available to DS bikes...am I incorrect?

Looks like a great ride I guess we will be doing parts of it on our way down from Calgary. First night is in Glacier National Park and then down to Missoulla - West Yellowstone.

Nige, most of this route is dirt trails and roads! There are a few small roads that connect the trails. It would be a blast, just two of the going.

OK I guess we won't be doing much of the route - doesn't sound too SERK friendly. We'll look at it from our comfy blacktop and admire the view.

Here's a pic of some of our own European mountain scenery. ( My good lady wife, Jan, is the red head in the middle of the pic)

Just got a call from my buddy doing this ride, he said that he was calling while had a cell signal. He's in the middle of Wyoming, started in Glacier National park on Sunday, said the ride has been great so far. Found a small town the other day just as it started to rain. They got a room and sat on the porch and drank some beer. I think they'll be hitting some rain today as the get closer to Colorado.
