One other thing to remember is these tires do flat spot if they set long enough.  I have noticed when my bike has been sitting on the kickstand for a while it does flat spot the front tire and is noticeable on left turns.  I do try and leave the handlebars turned away from the kickstand to help.

Bike doesn't sit long enough to flat spot (daily rider) Checked the tires last night and greased the neck bearing, no change.

As some of the others have said, I'm betting it's nothing more than tire wear.  My softail Heritage did that when it began to show a little wear.  Once I replaced it, it went away.
