If I may add my 2 cents worth, The bike is worth what you feel you want to pay. Kelly Blue book has a number but that doesn't account for desire or avalability only you now that. If you love it then there is no telling what it's worth.

I guess this was the point I was trying to make. As I said, I thought the bike was worth about $28k. I'm not sure what Greg is trying to say about NADA. Unless he is using "clean trade" as a value to sell between a buyer and a seller? "Trade" in is what a dealer is usually willing to give someone for a vehicle. I'm a fan of CVOwner!

buy it!!!

And my state of mind is confusion.
Do I want an older reliable 103 with a fewer less bells and whistles, or a 110 that has known issues but comes fully loaded?

Which imo ain't very much.  They're real proud of them when selling but talk 'em down when takin' on trade - much worse that a car dealer from what I've seen.

Since I've got both sitting in the garage, I'll give you my .02.  My 103 runs, but not as well as the 110.  It needed to be tweaked to perform to a stock 110.  Yes, my 110 leaks.  I'm on my 3rd set, and it appears it's leaking.  But the way mine runs, I'd still take the 110, do the gaskets when I change the oil (LOL) and ride the damn thing.  With a little work, it would really run if you wanted it too.  The 6 speed is really nice.  They're very similar otherwise.  You really can't go wrong with either as far as moco stuff is concerned.

Well it's a moot point.

I went to Simi Vally Harley and the red CVO bike had a red SOLD sticker hanging off the bars. Damn it was nice looking! I guess there MUST be another CVO out there with my name on it but not this one. So I chatted with Craig the sales director and asked him what mine would be worth on a trade in. He looked at it and went to the computer and said for an '01 Ultra with 44K he would give me $9400 on a trade in. Then he showed me the '08 and '09 Ultras on the floor, and they did look good, but I told him I wanted a CVO Ultra. He said he had an '04 SEEG Cobalt/Black that may be up for sale in a couple of weeks. I told him was VERY interested and mentioned that I would have to get the fullsize tourpack and CB radio installed. He said they came with the CB and four speakers, but I think he was mistaken. If it came in he would call me.

So on the way home I stopped off at Bartels' HD. There was a white '08 CVO Ultra on the floor for $40k. Nice looking but not my color. (Last weekend one of my RLAP Riders had two tone gold trimmed '08 CVO Ultra and that was gorgeous. I was surprised when he said I could ride it. He almost crapped his pants when I ran it through all the RLAP exercises,.....LOL!) There was also a black '09 Ultra and a fully loaded 08 Ultra in Candy Red Sunglo also on the Bartels' floor. So I worked with the salesman and he said he would give me $10,500 for my '01 Ultra, a full $1,100 more than Simi, so I guess it pays to shop around.

So I'll ride my '01 Ultra for now, and keep my eye out for that SE Ultra that one day will be mine.

Mark, you obviously know what you want. Just wait for the right deal to come along, and it will, and you'll be happy. The SEUC is an excellent bike and I'm sure that you're not going to be happy with anything less.

That's exactly it. Back in 2001 I SHOULD have bought the SERG Orange/Black, but bought the Peace Officer Special Edition Ultra instead. And yes while I was spoiled by all the Ultra extras, deep down inside I kicked myself for not getting the SERG CVO. So now I'll wait for the right CVO bike to come along.

You defiantly want the SEUC ²,³,or ⁴. Do you want the leather TP? ('06 &'07) or are ABS / fly-by-wire more important? Just give us an idea of what you're looking for so we can keep our eyes open.  ;D

I think I can live with the leather tourpack. ABS is not a deal breaker although it would be nice to have. I'm old school so I prefer cable throttle response to FBW. It would be nice if it came with an FI tuning system line SERT. I do want it to be under warranty, hopefully fully extended warranty, or at least so I can extend it.

So '06 or '07. '07 has a 110". I'm assuming that's what you're leaning towards? So long as you buy the bike from a dealer you can get the EW. Dealers besides HD's can sell an extended warranty. It may be through a different company but it can be had.

Ironhorse, I love my 07 B/O CVO Ultra and have not had any problems with it.  Try selling your bike yourself first and that will give you better buying power than trading it in and then you can go anywhere to find that 110 CVO Ultra.
