I should have stated that it is an 88 motor! sorry about that, and it is not a Screaming Eagle. I knew that the guys here ( and ladies to be P.C.) would know of the options and have tried most all combos. and sure enough0 there a  couple LONG lists of muffler attempts.
I guess the quest is never ending. At the present time I am scrambling to set something for a trip in about 6 days and she was not happy after the last run home- too loud and over powered the stereo.
Well, I must continue searching but really need to find a quick fix. I could go back to the stock set up leaving the high flow filter I suppose. But I hate that cross over pipe- hot on the leg!!
thanks for the posts here and please keep them rolling in.

After five sets of headers and at least 12 different sets of mufflers I'm back to stock,I started all this because of the rear jug and crossover heat not because I didn't like the sound of the stock pipes, they really sound good now with the bigger motor and modified heads. The point I want to make is since my tuner Dave Stoddard of J&D CYCLE WORKS tuned my bike properly engine heat is no longer a problem.

Currently running Bub 7 dual with crossover system. Buddies love the sound, seems a little loud for me especially under load. Pretty nice on cruise though.

Welcome to the forum, don't forget to throw up a post in the New Member Introduction and put up some pics of your bike.  I'd love to see some detailed pics of those BUB 7s as they will be my next mod provided I can get the pipes shipped to Germany.

I don't see Supertrapp Tuneables with adjustable disc's listed anywhere, I was Running my 110 07 SE Ultra with 12 disc's on the left and 16 on the right, With tapered tips I had a Nice Mellow tone and performance was excellent. They will go back on the 09 RG im breaking in at the present time.

I recall  a friend had the SupperTraps 2:1 with Tunable Exhaust installed on his Dyna awhile back and seem to remember they were extremely quite, almost near stock. Anyone have any thought on the Supper Traps 2:1, other than Cost.. I would think they could be tuned as good or better then the Fat Cats 2:1. I know the price on these will hurt when you bend over.
