Rinehart Slip-Ons 09 CUSE4
« on: September 22, 2008, 04:33:51 PM »

Was curious if anyone could give me a good source for purchasing the Rinehart Slip-ons for the 09 SEUC.  I have talked with the tech's and Rinehart and they assure me that the 1801-0100 for the 08 yr model will fit without any problems.  their very words are :  to insert a a 3/8" inch spacer (or flat washer) between stock mounting bracket and the muffler mounting bracket.  This allows for the Slip-on muffler to sit at a position that creates the space needed for clearance.

Anyway,  I was curious if anyone knew of any good deals out there on who has the best price on these muff's.?

Appreciate any suggestions or comments about this thread.

did they say they are comming out with a new muffler for the 09     :nixweiss:

the problem is the right side needs an indent on the muffler for the axle nut and clip( to close otherwise for going over bumps ,can hit)

v& h has there mufflers catching up to the 09 change  ;), I think a few people on the site has had mixed reviews about using the 08 line of exhaust    ;) :)

I am waiting for the 09 stuff to chatch up,I have seen a set of rushes on a 09 and there was for lack of saying no space between the muff/axle nut

I was also told by my wrench that they would fit my 09s.  He said only the V&H monster ovals would not fit due to the new swingarm design.  All others would be ok, he said.  Jorge bought the Bub 7's and hopes to have them installed near Maggie Valley this week.  I simply haven't decided what I want yet but am leaning toward the RH's.

Hopefully this will answer lots of concerns about the Rinehart Slipon's for the 09 Ultra SE.  Have read so much about the question of :  Will the R/H Slip ons work on the 09,  That all web sites only list up to 08.

Well I contacted Rinehart and talked with Brad, and he told me that Rinehart is not working on another slipon to fit the 09,  That the slip on's for the 08 are the ones to purchase.  Model : 1801-0100.  As you know you can read anything on the WEB, but he assured me that these slip ons will work just fine.  That they are a 3 1/2 " muffler where the stock muffler is a 4 ".  So to get the clearance you need, you will have to put a spacer or flat washer between the stock mounting bracket and the muffler mountiing bracket.  This will allow the slip-on muffler to sit at a position that creates the space needed for clearance.

Going to take his word and purchase the 1801-0100 slip-ons and ride on.  Can't wait to get those darn Gold Wing sounding mufflers off.
