chrome warranty
« on: September 29, 2008, 07:55:43 AM »

Hello all,
I recently got my 2005 SEEG and while cleaning when I finally got her home I found that the chrome was seperating on the front mag, does anybody know the warranty for something like this?  Since the scooter is only 3 year old would HD replace it?
Thanks

Bike had a two year warranty when new.  A sympathetic service manager might share your pain for a very brief period beyond that period for the sake of good consumer affairs.  But a 50% extension is a bit much to expect.

Look at it positively.  Now you've got the perfect excuse to pick some cool new wheels :2vrolijk_21: .

Asking is free but I'd not expect them to warranty the wheels or any other pieces.

FYI, there were lots of us w/ the same issue that did get replacement parts under warranty during the original two years and there were some dealers that were just a PITA regarding the issue as well.

And a extended warranty wouldn't help you either, they said it had to be a road hazard that caused the problem for the ext. warranty to cover it,( as in a nail or something in the road striking the rim to cause it) re-chrome or powder coat or just throwem away cause it will all eventually come off,
