Is that the ferry from Jamestown to Surry?  Was raised only 15 miles down the road from the Surry side.

You got it, the restaurant is about five miles from the ferry, on the Surry side.   ;)

Gorgeous Historic Virginia March 2007
« Reply #50 on: March 12, 2007, 03:40:17 AM »

We got out on our scoots yesterday as well.  Could have easily ridden Saturday too - temps in mid 70s and blue skies, but work - and home work begged attention, so yesterday, when Jamey was finished with the early Sunday Shift at work, we jumped on the bikes and hauled butt to meet with one of our HOG chapters and a ride to Williamsburg for a Chapter Challenge.  The Challenge is a dropped gauntlet - which chapter can get the most members - preferably on bikes - to ride to one locale and rack up the most miles.  So the points are based on members present, bikes ridden and miles covered.  Well, as in the past three years this one was the same.  The HOG chapter that we used to belong to for several years in Northern VA spotted us, and the current chapter both wanted us to lead about 20 of us to a lunch spot so we could catch up on missed hours the past couple of months to a year.  The weather was fantastic, pushing the bagger through some great twisties was a blast, the company was priceless and all in all ------------- This Sunday was good for mind, body and soul.  Thanks for letting me share.

Candy,
This particular Polar Bear Challenge got started while I was the Chapter Director at Waugh's.  Great event.  Which chapter won the challenge this year?  We weren't able to make it - but you're right - the weather was fantastic this weekend.
Cheers,
Tony

Hard to believe I shot this at the end of July 2005. At the time it seemed high, later it became a goal to wish for, and now we are below it. Saw gas all over the place this last weekend for $1.92!  :2vrolijk_21:

Yep, paid $1.94 yesterday filling up the missus truck...it seems like in 2003 in Northern Virginia it went from $1.79 to $2.39 overnight. I hope the trend holds...$38.00 to fill up as opposed to $71.00 months ago.

We haven't seen gas prices this low in Canada for a while as well. I filled up yesterday for 86 cents per litre. This translates into $3.25 per US gallon. ($ 5.15 per USG 3 weeks ago)  THE MUFFMAN
