SERT Interface to ECM
« on: October 07, 2008, 03:08:15 PM »

How does the SERT connect to the ECM?  There are no connectors on the ECM besides the large multi-pin one of the right side of the motorcycle.  Does the SERT come with a connector for that socket or is there some other interface or connection on the motorcycle?

The SERT does not come with cables.  You need to order the software, cables and the tuner itself to connect it to your bike.

If you have a Touring model, there is a connector under the left side panel that you connect the cable interface into. The cable interface comes with you SERT package. Of course, the first thing you need to do is install the software, preferably on a laptop as you will need the computer nearby the bike to modify your ignition map. If you have limited experience with computers and ignition programing you may want to leave the tuning job to a qualified tuner
