1st Tri-Glide in Louisiana
« on: October 24, 2008, 07:57:16 PM »

Here's a couple pictures of my BSR sitting on the 1st Tri-Glide to be sold in Louisiana.

MSRP is around $29K, this one went to a lady from New Orleans for close to $36K  :-X

Did you like the red? My father has one on order but can get the blue now. He can't decide. Both are MSRP + FRT + PDI ( & in FL if you can believe that  :D)
Interestingly enough, while discussing with dad about him getting a FL license, I found out today that SC has a separate license for trikes & a separate license for sidecars. Both are additional endorsements that each require a road test.

Thanks...
except we didn't buy it, my BSR is the finance mana ger at New Orleans HD.

It was woman from N.O. that bought it on the spot after a guy from Texas backed out.

This red one is actually pretty cool looking, though not like my '07 Cherry. :cherry:

Got a chance to see one up close on the floor of the Joplin, MO dealership yesterday.  Had a "Sold" tag hanging but was still on the floor to be looked over.  Given their cost was surprised how plain jane much of the bike was.  Most basic shift linkage and other things like that.

This one had the electric reverse installed.  Contral switches for that were handy to access at the left thumb. But a little bulky looking compared to what was mounted around it.  Saw the nice simple mounts for the little hydraulic steering damper added up front too.  Got shoo'd away from getting too close before could peak up underneath and see what the rear suspension looked like.  Another day...  :drink:

Well, I just got a call from dad. He has found one on the other side of FL in red. In stock & ready to go. Now he has to decide if he should go for that one or wait until the one he has a deposit on (closer to home) comes in. He is calling me back with the price. Watching him go though this reminds me of when I got my SEUC2.  ;D  :2vrolijk_21:

How close to MSRP are they in FL?                                            :nixweiss:
The NOLA store is usually $1-2K over on SE bikes, so I was rather amazed they got $6K over on the Tri-Glide...

Naples is $1364 over what his local Dealer wants. The Miami Dealer wants MSRP + Frt + Color + PDI + alarm + reverse. I've got to get the exact $. What ever the $ was total, this guy was 1364 over that but had it in stock.

Wow, thats good.  Here they got about $37K for all of the above. (not sure what the exact total was before their markup)

Tell Dad I said "Laissez les bon temps rouler" & good going with the price!
