Street Glide Seat on 2004 SEEG
« on: February 21, 2009, 08:46:12 AM »

I have searched for an answer to this topic but I am not finding an answer, so I apologize if this has been discussed before. Will a stock Street Glide seat work on a 2004 SEEG without modifications. Is anybody using the stock FLHX seat on their bike. I had an 2006 Street Glide a couple of years ago and found the seat to be comfortable. I am looking for an alternative to the stock seat. I like the comfort of the road kind sundowner but not sure how much I will like the looks on the look on the 2004 B+B.

Thanks

In 03 and 04 (when ours were new) I remember that the Road King seat would fit.  Not sure if that helps, but that would give you a little more option to consider.

I'm hanging on to the stock seat and sissy bar/backrest.  Nor sure why, but I still have them.  I haven't taken the Corbin off since it went on.  I sold all the other seats that I'd bought, trying to find a comfortable seat.....before I got the Corbin.  I'm a happy camper now.  Short rides or across the country......it's no longer an issue.  You might want to look at Corbin. :nixweiss:

Hi 04Se103,

From the looks of the sundowner I could see how it would rub the saddlebags, however the stock seat looks similar to the stock seat on the 04 seeg.

Hi JCZ,

Which Corbin, do you have how tall are you. I am only 5' 11"

Thanks,

Thanks,

I have the Corbin Classic Solo with passenger p-pad and I'm 6'4".  Van (Vanamal) sold it to me because it was to far back from the bars, so you might want to consider the Corbin Classic Close reach......it'll move you forward a couple more inches and I think that's what Van ended up getting for his bike.

fgizzo, the Sundowner seat #51630-06 for the FLHX will raise you up higher than the stock seat.  I tried one on my bike and I returned the same day.  The Sundowner seats are the best selling seat for HDMCO for most bikes.

Hey fgizzo, I traded my 06 Street Glide for a 04 SE-EGlide with a fixed King Tour Pack. Just done the detachable stuff for the tour pack. I also liked the glide seat. I got lucky and found one off a 06 glide. Fits like a charm. Not even close to rubbing anything. My orange scoot is cool with the Street Glide seat on. Much better than a bad lander I've had in the past. Later KennyC.
