Seat width
« on: October 23, 2008, 11:55:18 AM »

Where's the correct place to measure the seat widths (rider and passenger)? Looking specifically for an RK but expect it's the same across the models. Thanks.

My thought exactly.  If you are smart, for the passenger it is at its narrowest point...then subtract twenty percent.

I ain't skeered, I measure at the widest point and then tell my wife I just want her to be comfortable or some other BS like that.

I think this has already been answered... butt!

The seat I bought from Mustang for the '76 FLH was listed as a 16" front and 12" rear.  This reflects the widest part of both the front and rear seating surface.

Good luck with your new seat.
