Dyno/Exhaust re-post Please
« on: August 21, 2005, 08:49:12 PM »

I know this was covered in a huge thread...but most of the attatchments are missing.
I just would like to see a few dyno runs with 2-1 and 2-2 exhaust. Im torn between the two for my new bike coming soon. Torn between sound quality...(potatoe...potatoe...)
Sound quantity...(would like to hear that fine new stereo)...and performance(2-1)not as important to me as sound, but a bonus.

Considering VH Pro 2-1,  D&D fatcat, Freedom, Rinehart,...
Bike is stock 06 Se Ultra with race tuner.

What about a Supertrapp 2 in 1,  tuneable for power and sound.  I'm in the same boat as you.  New SE Ultra coming OCT. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

My final choices of pipes was the Hooker 2 into 1 exhaust and the D&D fat cat 2 into 1 for my 05 SEEG. I purchased the Hooker system later re thinking the decesion and wanting the D&D. Oh well I always seem to do that, thinking that one will be better than the other.
I am happy with the overall sound, performance, fit and finish and price of the Hooker system.

I have the same issues. The 06 SE Ultra has these huge excuse for an exhaust, which has incorporated into them catalytic converters. They have no sound and generate so much heat my wife cannot hardly put her feet on the passenger floorboards. I tried just leaving her at home, but two nights of sleeping on the porch  solved that fix. I'm suprised that the bottom of the saddlebags don't melt. ANY suggestions would be appreciated. My stealership was not even aware that the mufflers contained cats, or conveniently forgot, which answer I dont know. I don't want to blow the warranty, the EPA I could care less about. Any help out there?
