110 recall and other stuff
« on: October 27, 2008, 10:15:33 PM »

Had the recall done on my 07 SERK3 just to get it done as I had no leaks at the time. I was having sporatic warm restart issues which sometimes took a few cranks to get it going after it was warmed up. Well with 5000k on the clock the seals were done but they found the front motor mount to be bad and both ACR's were fried. Now here's the kicker. A possible reason for the ACR death was mentioned by the dealer could of been from the Harley race tuner. The old version that my bike was tuned on had no screen to turn the ACRs on or off where the new version does! So the tuning on my bike may have killed my ACR due to Harley's programming error. Just a note to all those with a custom map via Race Tuner. The dealership gave me a copy of the new version and it sure does have the missing ACR selection before download. Runs great now and no start problems any more!

This was an old problem.  4.50 and 4.62 had the issues.  4.76 and 4.77 fixed the issue.   Posted on this a while ago.  However the key to fixing this issue is you must UNINSTALL the older version and put the new version in clean.   If you install over top you will continue to have the same issues.

Hmmm, seems I have v4.6.2 and v4.7.7 both on my computer.  Someone a while back posted the update file for v4.7.7 and I installed it but did not delete the previous version.  Perhaps I should do that and re-install but I can't find the update file for v4.7.7 - anyone have it and can post it?

Thanks

Wow!!!!

it's no wonder you're having problems with 5 million miles on it! LOL
