The reason I asked was because I have ridin a few SERG and they did not feel like the previous years lowered shocks , seems to be a better ride and did not seem to bottom out like in past years, these new low profile shocks most be way improved for 09.  Thanks Doc

I think it is because of the level stance of the SERG.  I have the parts supplement to the Shop Manual at home and can check over the weekend.  If anyone has the manual supplement handy, they can tell us.  I note that the HD specs list the SERG and RG as having the same, 5.1" ground clearance.  Could it be that the SERG has larger diameter wheels / tires but a lower suspension?

Theres a trade off.  Larger rims but low profile tires.  I do know that the SERG is lower than a standard RG.  I'm not flat footed on the RG>  Heels are off the ground bout 1/2".  I'm barely flat footed with the SERG.  I know the low profile seat adds to this.  I think the front forks are unchanged.  Would'nt bet on that though.

I did look at the 09 front end lowering kit and it says will not fit 09 SERG, may be because it already is lowered?  Doc

I noticed the same thing in the catalog.  Still doesn't really answer the question though.  The note about not fitting the SERG may be related to the 18 inch rim and tire, and not an indicator that it's already on the bike.  Usually the catalog folks state something like "stock on '09 FLTRSE" rather than "does not fit '09 FLTRSE".  So I guess we still need a definitive answer which will only come from someone with a '09 FLTRSE parts manual.

Cannot tell by looking at the bike either, slider covers use to give it away, but not with the new front fender and wheel.  Doc
