Is any amount of backfire considered normal?
« on: November 15, 2008, 02:23:38 AM »

I notice that when I decel that there is a certain amount of crackling and popping coming from the exhaust pipe. It doesnt bother me and I actually think that it sounds kinda cool. Is this indicative of not running properly or is some amount considered to be ok or acceptable for a properly tuned bike? The bike fires up strong every time and the dealer service says that its running good at the last service, but I'm always a bit leary.

Thanks,
Ray

Axil,

V&H Pro Pipe and no after market tuner. Just an ECM upgrade. I posted another thread a couple of days ago regarding the ECM.

Thanks, Ray
