Not a criticism, but the proper spelling for the fastener is dzus, named after William Dzus who invented the quarter-turn fastener in 1932. Here's their website:

Yeah I know, but the auto spell checker didn't recognize dzus and replaced it with zeus.

It is a common enough misuse that if you do a search of zeus fasteners most of the links re-direct correctly.

Porthole,

Enlighten us on how you know this to be the case. Pictures would be even more helpful to understand the possible dilemma you are speaking about.

Harry,

I added the front saddlebag guards, which change out the bottom bag support and add a "T" to the bracket that the front support slips into. This is held in place with an Allen screw and nut.

Just putting the bag back on resulted in the bag hitting the nut, which I did not see right away.

Simple matter of adjusting the dzus fastener bracket.

Don't trim the rubber boot. Try a little silicone lube on it to let it slide into place easier

I will try that, Thanks. Let's Roll

It's not seeming to be much easier on the Ultra either.  When I think I have the saddlebag groove or track fitting snug on the support bar, I try to lock the pins, and end up wiggling the bag and find that the bag works it's way into the groove a bit further and finally lines up correctly.  A combination of fitting the support bar into the groove, lining up the rear pin, and then adjusting the front one should get you to where it goes on easily...hmmm...there's a theory...in practice though, who knows?

Try a dry silicone spray on the rubber pads. Will make life easier.

At least a bit easier then your GPS  ;D

I rubbed a little 3 in 1 oil on the rubber pads and then fit the SB down tight, balancing the pressure front and rear, you have an adjustment on the front fastener after the first couple times it works easier.
you could always try this, if you can spare it.
