Hey you guys with 2005 bikes I have a question.  What color is the paint on the "screamin eagle" script on the timing cover, the derby cover and the air cleaner cover?  Are they all orange on each of the colors of the 2005 bikes?  Or are they different colors on the yellow bike as compared to the red bike?  Do any of them have the script painted orange?  Wanting to put those pieces on my yellow RG that has the 103 SE motor (same as in the '06 SE Ultra).  Since yellow '06 RG has an orange accent stripe I think orange would look the best.

I am pretty sure it goes like this:

Yellow bike, red script
Red bike, red script
Teal bike, teal script

I don't think any of the '05s have orange.

Thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated.  I have enough friends with these bikes that getting one of them to order the part for me, if that is actually necessary, will not be a problem.

Have a look at two pictures I had posted showing my 03 Road Glide with the red Script on the Derby Cover and Cam Nose Cone.

If you go to  Topic PICTURE Aug.22/05, SUBJECT 03 Pseudo SE Road Glide. Picture 1 shows the Derby Cover with the Red 103 Script on my 04 SE 103" Engine.

Then go to Topic ROAD GLIDE DISCUSSION, Aug. 21/05, SUBJECT Geezerglide New Paint, Picture shows the Cam Nose Cone with the Red 103 Script.

Am using the "Older Evo AC Cover" as the the TC HD Footbball Cover will not fit the larger volume Ness Big Sucka Assembly.

You can order the Red Scripted Covers from HD, I bought mine from Cole HD,, if I am not mistaken Schrader works for Charlie Cole at their other location.

Just had the dealer replace the derby cover and the air cleaner insert due to the paint coming off. Looking in his parts catalog, it shows for the yellow bike that orange is the insert color. Red is on the red bikes.

I have an 04 pumpkin and unless I"m color blind the script is all red, not orange. Bike is stock, it does have the diffferent air cleaner cover but the script is red, not orange. Its red just like the derby and timing cover.

Taking a cue from osmacat, I looked in my parts manual for my '04.  It lists "blue graphic" and "orange graphic" as the two options for the air cleaner.

Sorry for the mis-cue on the yellow bikes, though, Road_Glider! [smiley=oops.gif]
