Not sure if I've got all neutral or just free wheeling.  Only thing I know for sure is that until it's all buttoned back up all I can do now is sit on the saddle (on the floor) and make vroom vroom noises.

You remember or did you notice a difference when you switched to Mobil from the OEM fluids?

I started a thread about neutral going missing on my SERK a year or so ago.  Since then the only change I have made was switching from Mobil 1 V-Twin in the gearbox to Redline gear oil with Shock-proof.  The problem immediately went away; now nineteen times out of twenty I get neutral on the first try.

I had the same issue on my 2008 SE Ultra when I bought it in December 2007.  Members were helpful, including the advice that things would improve after the 1000 mile service.  Here's an additional suggestion.  On my prior Harleys to find neutral I simply went into 1st and then pushed up on the lever with my boot toe using the heel as a pivot.  On the 08 this technique almost always shot past neutral right into 2nd.  Try moving your left foot as far forward against the shift lever as you can.  Then, simply by flexing the top of your foot upwards you will find neutral without passing it.  This technique gives you much more control.  Good luck.
