2009 slip ons
« on: November 21, 2008, 03:36:53 PM »

I was wondering which slip ons would provide the most power gains for a new bagger(96" engine)

i put a set of these on my '03, after removing the V&H Ovals due to them being to loud.

They were quiet at first but after several thousand miles the noise level increased significantly, Supertrapp said the only remedy was new baffles.

Like egultrac said, everyone has different tastes and opinions.. just my 02 worth.

94,5 decibel at idle ?
80 decibel is allowed here . chit .
That would mean , no chance to hide from the police , that would catches their eyes immediately .

HJ,
On my 07 SE Ultra I used 80491-07 Screamin Eagle 1 piece Performance Mufflers, they sounded much better then OEM , but still met EPA standard of 80db, they are well made and flow decently.

Been doing some research for a new 09.  I currently have a D&D fatcat on a 2004 and love it but for the 09 want most bang for the buck without breakin the bank.  Check out Fuel Moto and the Jackpot mufflers.  I personally know of a few people that run his maps for the pc and he was right on the money.  The dyno mufflers show very good gains in the dyno chart.  More info on HD Forums, lots of guys there have used these slip ons.
