Auto Compression Release setting for '09 CVO
« on: December 11, 2008, 05:04:01 PM »

I recently remapped my '09 SEUC after installing a new SE A/C and Rinehart's Eagle Beak slip-on mufflers.  The default setting in the 'stock' map under the tuning setup tab for the auto compression release (ACR) is "ACR Disabled".  Does anyone know if it should be set to "ACR Enabled" after tuning?   Or is the ACR Disabled the correct setting to run with.

Ummm, I think you would want them enabled in order for them to function.  Disabled is like not having them at all.

Yes, I agree, that is the obvious answer but is it the right answer?  I have read hundreds of posts here about remapping the ECM but never have I read a word of caution to make sure and set the ACR to enable.  I do not understand why HD would have the default setting set to disable.

Just a newbie looking for a little help...

I've seen several stock maps prior to tuning and the default setting for the ACR's was always "enabled".  Don't know why yours wasn't, but do know that you want it on.

Thanks for the input - I am off to the shop to remap the ECM!

If anyone has purchaced the HD Super Tuner Instructional DVD I would be interested in hearing from them... P/N 32101-08   just to know if the DVD is worth having in the 'toolbox'
