2005 Screamin Eagle Fatboy
« on: December 14, 2008, 04:53:26 PM »

Wondering if anyone has a 2005 CVO fatboy with V&H Big Radius pipes, SERT, and a good Dyno tune and what your results were  with HP & TQ. Live in Collierville,Tn and need an OCD tuner to match my OCD expectations. I'm considering adding a heavy breather SE to the mix...any input on that? Thanks

I bought my 2005 SE Fat Boy, 2-1/2 years ago. It was 14 months old and had 1,000 miles on it. The previous owner had Samson, Rip Saws (1-3/4" drag pipes with no baffles)  put on it when it was new. The bike ran perfect with that setup, don't know what he did if anything as far as a SERT or any other remap. I just changed exhaust to a Fat Cat 2 into 1, with quiet baffle, because the Rip Saws were annoyingly loud. The bike still runs great. I read the spark plugs today and they look perfect. I'm just going to leave the current setup the way it is.

Nice bike! I like the bags.....did you have to do anything special to fit them?
I will try to upload a pic of my baby today and when I get the Dyno and sert done I'll post the results

The bags are the Thunder model from Iron Bags

It was easy to mount them. You have the option of having them made so they mount far enough forward, so you don't have to relocate your signals or the standard position. I opted for the standard position, so they would clear the chrome trim around my seat.
