Has anyone been able to modify the 2006 touring Mustang driver's backrest to fit a 2009 chassis? Mustang shows a new part #79610 for the 2009

Turns out that the 2009 Mustang riders backrest includes a new bracket, this is bolted to vertical bolts on rear side of battery and bolted to nose of backrest mounting, this is the only change to the 2006 backrest unit. Call Mustang tech support to see if bracket is available, better than buying new unit if you have an older model

I also had to buy just the bracket from Mustang for my 09. The old one won't fit. The front bracket part is different as it mounts to the battery holder. It also has to be removed to get to the battery, which I don't like.
