You actually have been the first to mention it. It was bestowed upon me compliments of our own Spiderman!

I like it! Goes well with your EBCM #, too.

Since BB does not have a title, does this mean you get to bestow one on him?

He's got several. It's just that Fired00d won't let me post them here.  :D ;D :D
Linda wants to know if the bestowment means that she is a Princess? I told she already was.

Ok Yoda.

I knew a gal who said she was married to a Duke once, but I doubted her sincerity.  So this is my closest brush to true royalty, ever.

Actually it was a Duane, but Duke sounds better.   ;)

Received this in email a while ago.  Very good story - very well written.  Very moving, also.

I have ZERO sympathy for people who moved into a home LONG after a AFB has been established.  Or an airport of any kind, for that matter.
Couldn't have said it better myself!

Might be becuase I was in the Marine Corps Aviation........that I can never get enough of any branch flying in tight formation.  So I don't understand the whinning in the first place.  The fact that I live in a city that had two large Air Force bases close down a few years ago and saw, first hand, how it's affected our local economy long before the recession....might be another reason I just don't understand the whinnin. :nixweiss:

Thanks. When bases close down, it can devastate the local economy.  Have seen it firsthand as well.

Also, thank you for your service.

When I first moved into my home out here 11 years ago, Miramar was still the Navy's Top Gun School. It's a Marine Air Base now and still quite busy but not like in those days. Anyway, it was written into the papework on the sale of my home that San Diego county was home to many military installations and that the sound of miltary aircraft was a fact of life if you lived in certain areas (of which my town [Poway]) was one being close to Miramar. Anyway, I call it the sound of freedom and love watching all of the fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft in the area. The only time it gets me is when I'm jammin up I-15 on LD going through Miramar and some fighter jock in an FA-18 is doing touch and go's about 10 ft above the highway. With my hearing problem, I don't notice till they're right on top of me and more than once I've almost jumped off LD in surprise

Everytime I see jets or so called Tom Cruise wanna be's I thank GOD that they are there to fight for our safety and freedom. That they are WILLING to die to keep US safe and free. I feel that if you move close to an AFB then you should expect the loud Tom Cruise flybys, so I say just deal with it or move somewhere in the country where you dont have to listen to everyday noise around an AFB.

I've seen that many times at NFAB myself Dennis.  They're so huge it looks like slow motion.  Of course, have to go to Viola's for a dbl steak and cheese afterward.
