SE Pro Super Tuner Question
« on: January 30, 2009, 05:32:18 PM »

Once installed and used on a particular bike, can the SE PRO ST be used on a different bike or is it married to the ECM of the first bike it was linked to?

Curious if it can be resold if one desired to use a different tuning device.

Thanks

My understanding is that the Super Tuner -- like the SERT before it -- is locked to the first bike on which it is installed... and there ain't no going back.

   yes
Axil,

Yes, it can be used on more than one bike, or yes it is limited to the first bike it is linked to?

BTW- I've read where you recommend Pure Hell, I go there often and know John H. very well.

The Pro Super Tuner SE is married with the ECU.

ok if it is married to the ECU does it have to stay on the bike or can it be takin  of and put away for safe keeping  reason I'm asking is that the connection look kinda cheap :nervous:

I am pretty sure that the Super Tuner "dongle", like the SERT before it, is only connected to the bike when tuning. When the tuning session is done, the dongle is disconnected from the bike's ECM along with the computer/laptop that runs the software.

So, it does *not* remain on the bike while riding.

The SSERT is married to it in the essence that it leaves a foot print

If I understand the other responses to my initial question, besides leaving a foot print it can only be used on the bike it was first linked to.

Yes like the previous SERT sold by the MOCO before this one became the latest and greatest is also married to the initial bike you tune, and yes it is disconnected after use for storage..
