well, did about 250 miles yesterday with the wife and she is definitely unhappy with the seat.  should I get it gelled or memory foamed?  we do not want to change the looks of the CVO seat just make it more comfy ...looking for ideas

We have never been real happy with any of the stock seats.  We (my wife especially) has liked the Mustang Touring seat a lot.  I doubt that anything you do to the stock seat will help with comfort.

Pro pad would be my choice over gel or foam.

I just bought my girlfriend an Airhawk 2 and now she won't ride without it, I may get one for myself, a medium size on ebay is $80.00.

See what Mean City Cycles can do for you.

Or, get a Corbin Dual Tour and two backrests and be done with it.

It's a pro pad for the BSR on our '11 FLHTCUSE also unless she feels the need to turn on the heater.

If it's a Hammock seat Mean City Cycles told me last year they could not alter them. Unless something has changed recently.

Upgrade to a Corbin or Mustang Tour Seat. She'll be a happy camper with either seat and an added bonus, you will to... I personally have the Corbin Tour and attest its amazingly comfortable...   :2vrolijk_21:   And good looking

I got the Airhawk Cruiser R for the wife and she really likes it.  On the touring bike seats, it fits either front or rear perfectly.  Feels like you're sitting on a squishy pile of thick mud when it's inflated just right...and it's not a permanent attachment like some of the others out there.

So far, the HD Hammock seat on my '11 SERGU is fine for me, but only time will tell.  If/when it wears out, a Corbin will take it's place for sure...they feel hard to the touch, but it's the best long haul seat I've ever sat on, plus they look good on the bike.  They ain't cheap though...

On the Roadglide.org forum, one member had a seat done at Corbin and I guess that the state banned the adhesive that they were using to adhere the fabric to the foam. The fellow ordered just a plain seat, didn't want any stitching patterns (flames, tribal, etc) but when it came, it had some flame stitching (not sure how much) on the seat and he questioned customer service as to why this was done when he did not want it this way and he was told that this is how they have to build the seats now because of the adhesive issue. Sorry to pull away from the original post but if you are ordering a Corbin, make sure you get all the info if you are having one built and sent to you. Too bad the authorities are making it so hard on manufacturing out there.
