FXDSE2 fork alignment
« on: February 09, 2009, 01:35:48 AM »

I hit some gravel low speed and dumped my bike over. I have since repaired all the damage except now when riding in a straight line it looks like my upper tripple clamp is riding about a half inch closer to the fuel tank on the right side than the left side. In otherwords it seems out of alignment. I don't think anything is bent. The bike didn't hit the ground that hard. Hell it landed on me.  Is there some way I can re-align the tripple clamps?  I greatly appreciate any info. It's driving me nuts!

loosen the lower fork bracket bolts, sit on the bike holding the upper bracket straight, look over the handle bars
and look at the tire. sounds like it will be pointing to the left. some times shaking the bars will make it snapp back
straight if not turn the bar to the right stop and have some one BUMP tire to the right.  if this does not work with
little effort then you have a bent tube(s). hope this helps.    axil
