Andrews 54 Cam
« on: January 29, 2009, 07:49:25 PM »

I have an 07 SE RK and would like to change the cam from the stock SE255 to something with a bit more mid-range. The engine is basically stock with the Heavy Breather, VH Big Shots, SERT. When I had the 0906 Update, I had the heads ported/polished and milled 0.020". I checked with Andrews and they suggested the 54, which was new for 08. Has anyone tried this cam and like to provide feedback ? The dealer locally has been pushing the SE251 or the Andrews 55. Thanks

Haven't seen much on that one but there are many posts here about the 251 cams and most seem to be happy with them. I just had a set installed on my 07 ultra when it was in for the upgrade. I have not had a chance to try them out yet due to the sub zero weather and snow we have had here. As soon as I get a chance to go for a ride I will certainly be posting my thoughts.

Hoggr,

Very nice numbers. A dyno chart would be helpful to see the power curve.  Could you share the rest of your build details to include pistons, headwork, TB, exhaust, and tuning device?

Thanks
