« on: February 12, 2009, 06:25:01 PM »

the fltrse3 has tire sizes of front-D407 130/70B18, rear-D407 180/55B18. i know the front has ben modified in tread design. but i had the experience of having a flat on the rear today. the rear is an unique size and my dealer did not have one in stock. :drink: there other store 75 miles away did not either. :drink:

i'm riding with a plug right now. :nervous:

just trying to give a heads up.

Good information to have. Might be worthwhile to order one now, just in case.

TN,

Curious to know whether you notice any difference between the Donlops and Avons??  Let us know.  Thanks!

Do we have to worry about tire types for ABS? Just wondering because this is the first bike I have owned with ABS.

after a bit of research i found that avon does make a radial tire in our size. the road hazard insurance would have a tough time with this.  at times you can't argue. does the road hazard have to be a dealership?

If you're talking about the wheel and tire coverage on the Extended Warranty, here's what I understand...

1. They have to be the factory Dunlops, and
2. You have to take it to the dealer.

Sorry, but that's the way the warranty is written.
