Saddle Bag Lid Bra
« on: June 19, 2016, 10:05:13 AM »

We have a 2015 CVO Limited.
The lids are showing some scratchs and I was thinking of installing  bra kit.
Are the HD bra kits better than the set I bought back in 08, still the same, and is the a better option to go with?

Have you considered clear protection, like Xpel, etc.?  You can wax over it as well.  HD, has their own (expensive) clear protection as well.  Perhaps there will be some fading with the leather over time (don't know), but probably not unless you keep it parked outside constantly.

Check out Motorcycle Armor. All of the stuff is great. Saved my marriage when my BSR drug her boot across of my lids.

Also site members get a discount.

Installed Motorcycle Armor on my bike back in 2009 and it still looks like new. Great product with a great guarantee.

I never liked the fit of the HD Lid Bra's on my '05. The clear stuff still leaves edge's un-protected. I went with a custom set from these guys http://shorefiredesign.com/ ....fit and finish is great. It's a soft backing and a plush feel. I had them color match the stitching.
