EZ-Brake or SoftBrake???
« on: March 16, 2009, 06:37:18 PM »

She is about ready to come home from Dr. Harley,  and I need to make one last purchase (this week)

I really want a extended break pedal,  but cant decide  between EZ-Brake of SoftBrake...  SoftBrake is let $$ but they look very different in their layout....

Both are 1" Longer and 2 1/4 inch lower than stock...EZ has a weird pattern to the layout..

Comments??

Scott,

I recall you had the 08 SERK.  The EZ-Brake is in a good position.  I ordered one for my SERG but found it would not fit with the Rumble collection brake peddle.  Also would not fit with the Lindby Crash Bar.  Also, the part is not as thick as the HD part.   I think you can see the difference in the photo below.  HD on left.   EZ on right

Yup 2008 SERK...

I can see the big difference in the metal...But HD doesnt make a extended pedal... Do you still have the EZ?

I've used E-Z brake on three different FL bikes and have been very satisfied - non of them were CVOs however.

Look up Harley brake pedal on ebay, there's usually several new ones on there for sale.

I have EZ Brake on my 04 SEEG and have had it since the first year.  I also had one on my 02 Ultra Classic.  In both cases I'm very happy with it and will do it again!

I also have the EZ Brake extended shifter rods, too.

i really dont care for the look of the e-z brake. The one on the 04 is extended and looks really nice and is in just the right spot for me...  and it matches all the other trim as well... no e-z anything for me.
