How does one go about removing the tank emblems?  May try a change myself as I don't like the 2008 emblem compared to earlier.  My favorite was the 2006.  We had a Melon that I wish I had kept it as well.  The tank emblem blended right in with the paint scheme.

Hi Jim,

I used my heat gun to soften the clue(tape) holding it on, then with about a foot long piece of fishing line worked it in behind back and forth and it quickly came off.  Just in case, put a towel over your floor boards and onto the floor to catch the emblem when if it falls off.  However, I would suggest that after you're halfway through behind with the fishing line that you grasp the emblem from one end and try lifting it off, being very careful not to hit the tank with the other end.

It was actually quite easy and didn't take long at all with the heat gun... If you don't have a heat gun, a hair dryer will work, just take a little longer to heat.

Good luck!
