Keep your stock pipes- EPA
« on: March 13, 2009, 01:36:49 AM »

I am having VH pipes installed for the sound and looks.  Added PC111 and custom map.  If and when the feds or state start doing smog checks, I can switch back the pipes, disconnect PC and pass the stupid test.  Check out what a new set of stock pipes cost for your Harley.  They are 3 times what you will pay for your aftermarket pipes.  I live in California, and it wont be long before they kill our bikes.  They already are making Harley lean out the FI so your plugs are burning white!  Thats the main reason I put on new pipes.  To make the fuel mixture acceptable so my poor bike does not fry itself.

I agree, you have to keep your stock pipes with the never ending crackdown of air and noise standards. They would love to see us all on bicycles.   :(
